Halloween adventure

Vienna is the city of the undead. The undead are Viennese people who have already died but cannot find peace because they have taken on guilt. Doomed to be trapped in the city forever without being able to lead a real life, they all have only one hope: the Black Empress of the Prater. According to an old legend, the Black Empress redeems the undead once a year on the night before All Saints' Day and finally lets them rest - but only if the Halloween people unanimously demand this. And so it happens that this year on Halloween, the Viennese themselves decide who the Black Empress should save...

Program / Dates

“The Undead Must Be a Viennese” is an interactive Halloween adventure with five stations throughout the Prater. From 6:30 p.m. the Black Empress calls on all Viennese people to examine the undead at these stations. Anyone can talk to the undead, ask them questions and then decide whether the undead deserve to be redeemed. But victims of the undead will also be at the stations and an official from MA 66 - the undead authority - will be part of the action at each station, as well as show acts who will bring life to life at each station.

From 8:30 p.m. the Black Empress visits each station to find out from the Viennese whether she should release the station's undead or not and then carry out the sentence.
