For Prime Day – the Bargain Highlight of the Year – Amazon Has Something Truly Special in Store for Its Austrian Prime Members

Under the motto “Celebrate Prime Day like an Emperor,” the four-day shopping event kicks off on July 8 from 12 PM to 8 PM with an exclusive launch: Prime members can not only benefit from hundreds of thousands of deals in over 35 categories on Amazon.at – including Amazon’s lowest prices yet on top brands like Sony, Dyson, Samsung, and De'Longhi, as well as discounts from local partners like Naked Optics and Yosana.

As a special thank-you, Amazon is inviting its Prime members to a fun-filled experience for the whole family: on July 8 from 12 PM to 8 PM, the Wurstelprater will transform into a grand imperial family festival. The culinary highlight of the event is the “Prime Kaiserschmarren,” awarded as the best Schmarrn dish in Austria in a nationwide competition in cooperation with the Austrian Chefs Association. Made with high-quality AMA-certified ingredients, it will be prepared by the Austrian National Culinary Team and personally served on site by ski jumping star Stefan Kraft and celebrity chef and TV host Silvia Schneider. The Kaiserschmarren is free for Prime members – while supplies last – and will be served at Gasthaus ZUM KAISER at the Riesenradplatz.

Visitors can also enjoy free rides on numerous popular Prater attractions.

For those who love speed – just like with fast, free Prime shipping – free rides on the Olympia Looping roller coaster and the Ejection Seat will be available. When the summer heat kicks in, the Aquagaudi water ride offers a refreshing cool-down, and the Wiener Rutsche (Vienna Slide) promises fun for the whole family – in line with Prime entertainment offerings like Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Prime Gaming. Music lovers will not only feel at home with Amazon Music, but also at the Laser Dance ride, which will feature free rides and a laser light show.

Women power is front and center in the music program: with Vienna-based DJs Mel Merio (joined by saxophonist Angela Walter from 12 PM to 5 PM) and DJ Party Pauli 1 (from 5 PM to 8 PM), good vibes are guaranteed. Additional entertainment includes creative photo stations with Sisi and Franz at Madame Tussauds, chill-out areas, small gifts from Amazon selling partners, and much more.

District leader Alexander Nikolai and Prater Wien GmbH managing director Mag. Michael Prohaska will officially open the event together with Amazon Austria Country Lead Yorck von Mirbach. Radio Wien host Mel Merio will emcee the program.
