The “Austrian Summer Giant” was created as an initiative by Otto Wanz. Originally launched in 1992 on Graz's main square, the event moved to Vienna with impressive competitions, including lifting dumbbells, concrete suitcases and tree trunks, as well as lifting beer barrels and cars.
Protecting children. Strengthening together. Charity in strongman sport!
Matthias Göth, already active in the strongman sport, has performed extraordinary feats to support the Courage Club. He has already pulled planes, trains, tanks and trucks for a good cause and has been part of the Courage Club since 2023. These actions show how strongman sport and charity come together to do good and support children.
