Halloween

The Halloween parade is moving through the Prater again, numerous attractions are spooky, the Ferris wheel turns in the “wrong” direction, employees mutate into “undead”, the young ghosts jump in the bouncy castle and there are numerous other activities for young and old Halloween in the Prater is once again a unique experience. Nothing is revealed about the climax of the Halloween celebration. The only thing that has leaked out is that this time it will not take place in Calafati Square and should be unique.

However, visitors will have to do without the Burning Calafati this year. Because instead of the burning patron saint of the Prater, something else will be the focus. What that will be, people in the Prater are still keeping quiet about. Only this much is said: It will be legendary!

Attractions and promotions

Halloween parade
The Halloween parade starts at 6:00 p.m. in the Zufahrtsstraße, has a new and longer route through the Prater and passes all the squares. The parade is led by " Wurstel, Death and Gravediggers", followed by the Prater train and the floats skilfully staged by Ensemble Nesterval, with mottos such as "Famous Dead in Vienna", "Exorcist" and "Adams Family". The parade ends with a special spectacle at a location that is still secret.

The Ghost Train
The Liliputbahn will open on October 31st. from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. back to the Ghost Train. At the departure times, she drives through wafts of fog, black clouds and moonlight, accompanied by the howling of wolves and frightening hooting of owls, through the dark, legendary and dangerous forest of the Count von und zu Dracula.

Scary jumping in the air castle
All made-up and/or disguised children jump at the scary jumping in the air castle on 31.10. from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. free of charge in the Luftburg and thus ensure a special spooky magic.

Attractions and gastronomy
In ghost trains, the ghosts are assisted by professional "scarers" and many attractions have a "trick or treat" theme. It doesn't matter whether they're big or small – guests dressed up get sweets while stocks last!

In many catering establishments not only celebrations take place, but special Halloween cocktails are also served, for example, and the Schweizerhaus celebrates its traditional end of the season. In the evening from 9 p.m. the Prateralm invites you to the “Halloween Party in the Stadl”.
