From October 29 to 31, the Vienna Prater transforms into a realm of magic, chills, and delightfully spooky adventures – for young and old alike.
Children’s Program – Fun & Frights for the Whole Family
Whether it’s pumpkin carving, the interactive circus, or craft stations – little witches, ghosts, and vampires will find plenty of thrills at the Prater. Stages and squares come alive with shows, performers, children’s theater, and even free Dracula ice cream (while supplies last).
And for the truly brave, the Liliputbahn Ghost Train runs on October 31 – an experience guaranteed to give you goosebumps!
There’s also much to discover at the Prater Museum, Madame Tussauds, the Planetarium, Luftburg - Kolarik at Prater and among the many roaming walking acts – all with a spooky twist.
The Big Highlight – Halloween Night on October 31
When darkness falls, the Prater awakens to its truly eerie life:
At 7 PM, the legendary Halloween Parade begins – with creepy performers, spooky costumes, and an unforgettable show winding its way through the entire Prater.
From 6:30 PM, the Planetarium takes you on a journey into the world of Cosmic Horrors, with shows every half hour.
And for all night owls, the Prater Dome hosts Vienna’s biggest and scariest Halloween Party starting at 10 PM.

Parade
Our popular and well-known Halloween Parade begins at 7 PM and winds its way through the Vienna Prater. A show-stopping experience like never before! Eerie performers entertain the audience along the route with a spine-chilling program.
