The JBU is the premier youth wind orchestra of the Music School Ulm and brings together more than 60 outstanding young musicians. Together, they perform a demanding repertoire ranging from original works for symphonic winds to sophisticated arrangements. For many years, the orchestra has stood for musical excellence, continuous artistic development, and numerous competition successes — including First Prize at the German Orchestra Competition in the Youth Wind Orchestra category, as well as several outstanding awards in the years that followed.

In addition to its major concerts in Ulm, international concert tours have become an important part of the orchestra’s history. The Junge Bläserphilharmonie Ulm has already captivated audiences in renowned concert halls across Europe and on tours to Australia, China, and South Africa.
