As the Vienna Wurstelprater celebrates its 260th anniversary, Vienna's brass bands are joining the festivities. From July to September, Riesenradplatz will become the stage for brass bands and music associations from across the city every Sunday.

With the launch of the new "Sunday Brass Music at the Wurstelprater" concert series, summer in the Prater gets its very own soundtrack. Set against the backdrop of the Giant Ferris Wheel, historic rides, and the vibrant atmosphere of Vienna's famous amusement park, local brass ensembles will create lively Sunday afternoons filled with music under the open sky. The programme is designed for music lovers, families, Prater enthusiasts, and anyone looking to make their Sunday outing a memorable musical experience.

Music for All Generations

Marches, waltzes, polkas, and well-known melodies create a welcoming atmosphere that invites visitors to listen, relax, and celebrate together. Parents and grandparents can enjoy the concerts while children explore the attractions of the Wurstelprater nearby. Throughout the summer, Riesenradplatz will become a meeting place for visitors of all ages.

A different orchestra, brass band, or music association from Vienna will perform each Sunday. Participating ensembles include Blasmusik Don Bosco Neuerdberg, Eisenbahner-Musikverein Wien Südost, Musikverein Leopoldau, Original Hoch- und Deutschmeister, Trachtenkapelle Alpenklang, Kurorchester Oberlaa, and the Orchester der Wiener Linien, among others.

The new concert series combines Vienna's rich musical heritage with the unique atmosphere of the Wurstelprater.
