  • Directions: Bus, train, car & parking

    Whether you come by car, train, bus or aeroplane, it is extremely easy to travel to the Wurstelprater.

    Parking
    Our park offers a sufficient number of parking opportunities for a fee. There are parking spaces for the handicapped near to the Schweizerhaus, as well as near to Vienna’s Ferris Wheel in Tiefweg.

  • Admission to the Prater

    Admission to the Wurstelprater is free of charge, and the park is accessible around the clock.

  • Opening times

    The area around the Wurstelprater is accessible 365 days a year and around the clock. The attractions are open daily from 15 March to 31 October. The winter season runs from 1 November to 14 March, during which some of the business are open if the weather is pleasant.

    Attractions, e.g., Madame Tussauds, Vienna’s Ferris Wheel, the Kingdom of Railroads, the Kolarik Bouncy Castle at the Prater and the Rollercoaster Restaurant, are open all year round and have set opening times, which you can find on their respective websites.

  • Prices & group rates

    Every attraction is paid for separately. The prices per ride range between approximately 3.50 and 15.00 EUR.

    As every attraction at the Prater is an independent fairground-entertainment business, please make enquiries directly to the respective business as to whether group rates are offered.

  • Payment

    You pay for a ride right at the cash desk of the respective attraction. In many cases, only cash is accepted. Attractions like Vienna’s Ferris Wheel, Madame Tussauds and many other businesses also accept payment by card. Only cash payments are possible at the Schweizerhaus.

  • Pratercard / Combo tickets

    Pratercard: The Pratercard can be purchased online at www.pratercard.at. This card makes it possible to pay electronically at all of the participating businesses. Recommendation: An ideal present for every Prater fan!

    Combo tickets: Some businesses offer combo tickets for various attractions. Vienna’s Ferris Wheel, for instance, offers combo tickets in association with the Miniature Railway, Madame Tussauds, Vienna’s Schönbrunn Zoo, the Danube Tower (Donauturm) and the Aquarium (Haus des Meeres), and other combo tickets are also available.

    If you have a Vienna City Card or are a member of the Vorteilsclub Wien, some businesses also offer discounts.

  • Online tickets

    Some businesses, like Madame Tussauds and Vienna’s Ferris Wheel, offer online pre-sales. In the case of most of the attractions, though, it is only possible to purchase tickets on site.

  • Information desk at the Riesenradplatz

    For any concerns you may have, our employees at the information desk at the Riesenradplatz are there to support you.

    Opening times:

    Main season, 15 March to 31 October: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
    Winter Market at the Riesenradplatz: mid-November to early January: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
    The information desk is closed before and after these opening times!

  • Bad weather

    The opening times can vary in the case of bad weather. Some outdoor businesses close because of bad weather.

  • ATMs / cash points

    The area offers a total of seven ATMs / cash points. Please observe that customers of foreign banks may incur transaction fees.

  • Attractions & safety

    There are more than 250 attractions at the Wurstelprater. With such a large selection, there is something suitable for every age group.

    The safety of all our guests and employees is our highest priority. At every attraction, you will find a sign explaining the safety measures and size limitations. In some cases, there are both size and age limitations. These safety measures are stipulated by the responsible authority and must be strictly adhered to. The decision as to whether it is possible for someone to use an attraction is taken by the staff on site.

  • Lost items

    Please leave any items you may find at the information desk at the Riesenradplatz or deposit them in a lost-and-found box. Following a retention time of two days, the information desk staff deposit every item found in the lost-and-found box. The lost-and-found box is a service provided by the City of Vienna and is emptied twice a week during the main season and once a week during the winter season. If you lose something during your visit, please contact the main lost property office of the City of Vienna directly. Please observe, though, that overlapping times are possible due to the times when the box is emptied.

  • First aid

    Minor injuries can be treated at the information desk at the Riesenradplatz. Our staff always endeavours to do their best and will call an ambulance, if necessary. In emergency situations, there is a defibrillator at the information desk at the Riesenradplatz, at the Blumenrad and at the Schweizerhaus.

  • Missing children

    Missing children? No worries. Our staff will gladly help you look through the entire park. The meeting point is the information desk at the Riesenradplatz or contact our manager of the day directly.

  • Restrooms

    At the Wurstelprater, there are sufficient restrooms, and the majority is accessible for handicapped guests and offers changing tables for babies.

  • Lockers

    Our park does not offer lockers. The closest lockers can be found in the vicinity, though, at the Praterstern Railway Station.

  • Dogs at the Prater

    Dogs are very welcome to our park!

    So that everyone gets along, we ask, though, that you comply with the following rules:

    1. Dogs must be on a lead in the entire Prater.
    2. Dogs that are considered dangerous breeds must also wear a muzzle.
    3. Dog owners must remove dog droppings by means of a “Sackerl für’s Gackerl“ (special bags for disposing of dog droppings).
    4. If your dog causes damage or creates a mess, you as the owner are responsible.
  • Winter Market at the Riesenradplatz

    Our Winter Market at the Riesenradplatz takes place annually from mid-November to early January.
